I eat in Lambertville more than I eat at home, which says something about a town this small. You can cross the bridge for Cuban sandwiches at Savoury Spoon or stay put for the hash browns at Hash House, and I have done both in the same week.

The range runs from Angelico Winery's hand-crafted tastings to the doodle tables at The Burgerly, and I have yet to have a bad meal at either end. That is why this list exists.

These are the spots I keep returning to, and I think you will too.

Wonderful food overall
Unique hash browns
Well-made puff cakes
Excellent blueberry pancakes
Accurate cook on requests

I have eaten at Hash House more times than I can count, and every visit reminds me why I keep coming back. The food is wonderful overall, but the hash browns are the real stars here. They have a texture I have not found anywhere else, crispy on the edges and soft in the middle. The puff cakes are well-made, light and airy, and the blueberry pancakes are excellent, packed with real fruit. What I appreciate most is the accuracy on cook requests. I asked for my eggs over medium and got them exactly right. That kind of care matters to me.

Chive Café & Catering feels like a secret I almost want to keep to myself. The ingredients taste fresh, and the portions are generous, which is rare at these low prices. The place has an upscale feel without the attitude or the bill. I ordered the omelet sandwich on my last visit, and it was superb, fluffy eggs tucked into perfectly toasted bread. The fried chicken special came out just right, crisp and juicy. House fries were crispy and well-seasoned, the kind you keep eating long after you are full. This is my go-to for a satisfying lunch that does not break the bank.

Lambertville Station Restaurant

Highlights
Scenic canal and railroad views
Allergy-conscious chef and staff
Comfortable noise level indoors
Excellent service, food, drinks

Lambertville Station Restaurant wins me over with its setting alone. You get scenic views of the canal and the railroad, which makes the whole meal feel like an event. The noise level inside is comfortable, so I can actually talk to the people at my table. The service is excellent, and the food and drinks are consistently good. But the thing that really stood out was how allergy-conscious the chef and staff were. I mentioned a nut allergy, and they took it seriously, checking every component. That level of attention makes me trust them completely. I will keep bringing visitors here.

The guest rooms are spacious and comfortable, so if you stay over, you will not feel cramped. I have not had a bad experience here. It is a solid, dependable spot in the heart of town.
