Lunch in Red Bank is a serious sport, and I’ve eaten my way through enough of the borough to know exactly where the line forms. We’re talking about a town where you can start with a transcendent plate of cacio e pepe polenta at a design-forward spot like Catezza and end up weeping into a scratch-made chicken nugget at No Limits Cafe, which is a sentence I never thought I’d write.

The spread runs from the kind of place where the staff waves napkins at your birthday cake to a spot serving Branzino worth a drive from anywhere. I’ve even found a pork chop that changed my whole week at Il Colosseo.

So, consider this your cheat sheet.
